  • Orders for Army-cooked meals close 9am Monday 21st May
  • Postal entries must be posted no later than Monday 21st May
  • Online entries close Wednesday 23rd May

The last week has been full-on preparation with track marking, bridge building, digger work and loads of windfall clearing in the sun, rain, and even snow! We got it all down at Desert Storm this week, and the great news is that we have a fine week forecasted, so the trails will be primo!

Now it is your time to have a blast and enjoy these trails....Desert Storm offers riders so much variety...

  • Flowing trails alongside native bush and streams in alpine terrain
  • Twisting sections with heaps of berm action in the pine forest
  • Fast, wide, bulldozed fire breaks to open the throttle and blast
  • River crossings that are rocky NOT boggy
  • Open Desert areas with natural terrain motocross tracks to play
  • Practice enduro x course to pump up your skills
  • Novice trail for novices ONLY
  • Great Kids trails for kids ONLY

All set amongst the majestic backdrop of Mount Ruapehu. We are privileged to be able to ride here as an annual event...so lets make the most of it. Some pics of the team this week doing the final prep: (The snow that fell in the early morning was a blast, despite making finding the trails a little sketchy!)
